Regular equine health assessments help optimise wellbeing and improve performance, whether you have a pleasure horse, breeding mare, performance horse, or a senior companion.
Our mobile equine veterinary service provides comprehensive horse health assessments, preventative care, vaccinations, wound management, eye examinations and compassionate end-of-life care, including euthanasia when appropriate.

Regular equine dental examinations are essential for maintaining your horse’s health, comfort, and performance. We provide comprehensive equine dental care, including routine dental examinations, teeth floating (rasping), wolf teeth removal, treatment of dental abnormalities, and tooth extractions when necessary.
We recommend six-monthly examinations for horses aged 2–5 years and those over 20 years of age, as well as for horses with parrot mouth, wry nose, or other abnormalities that affect normal dentition. Annual examinations are recommended for all other horses.
Using our modern powered dental equipment, we help prevent painful dental disease, improve chewing efficiency, and support your horse’s long-term health and wellbeing.
Our clinic has a purpose-built crush with head sling, providing safe and stable support during equine dental procedures.
-
Equine ophthalmology examinations are essential for the early diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions that can threaten your horse's vision and comfort.
We provide comprehensive assessment and treatment of horse eye diseases, including corneal ulcers, eye injuries, infections, uveitis, and other ophthalmic conditions. We are able to place subpalpebral lavage (SPL) systems to facilitate frequent, effective treatment of severe eye conditions.
Horses requiring ongoing intensive care can also be hospitalised at our clinic, where purpose-built facilities allow for close monitoring and continued treatment throughout their recovery.
-
We provide comprehensive post-surgery and injury care for horses, supporting recovery with tailored treatment plans, bandage management, wound care, pain management, rehabilitation, and ongoing veterinary monitoring.
The advantage of our clinic being located at HSP Advanced Equine, means we have access to a purpose-built, cutting-edge rehabilitation facility including water treadmill, infrared light solarium, indoor and outdoor arenas and a round yard.
There are stables, small day yards and large paddocks suitable for every stage of your horses rehabilitation along with controlled exercise programs, and specialised recovery support, helping your horse achieve the best possible outcome after surgery or injury.
-
Our service provides advanced diagnostic imaging for horses, including digital radiography (X-rays) and ultrasound examinations.
Using AI-assisted radiographic analysis, we can accurately measure and assess hoof balance and anatomy to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of laminitis, support corrective farriery, and monitor treatment progress.
Diagnostic imaging also helps identify other musculoskeletal conditions such as fractures or tendon and ligament injuries, allowing prompt, accurate care at your property or in our clinic.
-
Our comprehensive equine lameness and performance assessments are designed to identify the cause of poor performance and lameness through thorough clinical examinations, gait analysis, diagnostic nerve blocks, and advanced diagnostic imaging.
Once the underlying cause has been identified, we develop a tailored treatment and rehabilitation plan to restore soundness, optimise performance, and support your horse's long-term health and wellbeing.
-
We perform a range of equine surgical procedures under both standing sedation and general anaesthesia, allowing many conditions to be treated safely and effectively.
Our common services include castrations, lump and tumour removal, wound and laceration repair, and Caslick procedures. Additional surgeries can often be performed on a case-by-case basis following veterinary assessment, with treatment tailored to your horse's individual needs.
-
Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is an evidence-based treatment that uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate the body's natural healing response by increasing blood flow, promoting tissue repair, and reducing pain.
Shockwave therapy is used to treat a wide range of equine conditions, including tendon and ligament injuries, suspensory desmitis, proximal suspensory disease, back pain, kissing spines, osteoarthritis, sacroiliac pain, stress fractures, delayed bone healing and equine asthma.
We use advanced focal shockwave therapy, which delivers precise, high-energy shockwaves to targeted tissues at controlled depths. Compared with radial shockwave, focal shockwave offers greater penetration, improved treatment accuracy, and higher energy delivery. This makes it the preferred option for treating both superficial and deeper structures and optimising rehabilitation and recovery.

Our comprehensive pre-purchase examinations help buyers make informed decisions before purchasing a horse. We offer AVA 2-Stage and AVA 5-Stage Pre-Purchase Examinations, as well as tailored veterinary assessments to suit your individual requirements.
Whether you need a basic health examination or a more comprehensive assessment including flexion tests and additional diagnostics, each examination provides an objective evaluation of the horse's health, soundness, and suitability for its intended use.
