Raised in Brisbane, Rachel grew up immersed in horses and competitive show jumping alongside her two sisters, who are also veterinarians. She completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Equine Science) before earning her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland.

After graduating in 2017, Rachel relocated to Ballarat to complete an 18-month ambulatory, anaesthesia and surgery internship at Ballarat Veterinary Practice Equine Clinic. She remained with the practice for a further six years as an associate, gaining broad experience across equine medicine while developing a particular interest in ophthalmology.

Since 2023, Rachel has cared for the sanctuary horses at Horse Shepherd Equine Sanctuary and overseen rehabilitation cases through HSP Advanced Equine. This collaboration led to the establishment of Forefront Equine at Horse Shepherd Park.

Outside of practice, Rachel enjoys time with her greatest supporters—her husband Jack and son Teddy
